Liberty United International has successfully run its first Christmas charity pop-up, raising EC $5,000 to support youth-focused programmes and community partners across Grenada.
Held during the festive season, the charity sale brought together supporters, volunteers and community members, all united by a shared commitment to empowering young people. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit 4H Grenada and Camp GLOW Grenada as they continue to advance their missions into 2026, with an additional portion of funds reserved to support individuals requiring special assistance.
This support, referred to as Assistance, represents a financial contribution towards specific needs. This may include essentials such as school books, applications for educational or developmental programmes, or items like specialised footwear for sports or extracurricular activities. The aim is to remove barriers and enable young people to access opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach.
Eligibility for this assistance is open to all individuals living in Grenada, with support available across all parishes. Those seeking support will be required to complete a form detailing the type of assistance needed, alongside an explanation of how it will make a positive difference in their lives. Applicants must also upload any relevant supporting documents to help validate their request.
The pop-up forms part of Liberty United International’s wider fundraising and community engagement efforts, which include charity sales and events designed to create meaningful, long-term impact. Beyond fundraising, these initiatives provide opportunities for community connection while raising awareness of the challenges young people face and the importance of accessible support.
Through this latest initiative, Liberty United International continues to strengthen its community-based approach, investing in educational and developmental programmes that equip young people with practical skills, confidence and opportunities for the future. From hands-on workshops to mentoring initiatives, the organisation works closely with partners to ensure support reaches those who need it most.
Speaking on the importance of initiatives like the Christmas charity pop-up, founders Khole Baldeo and Rain Scott emphasised the values that guide Liberty United International’s work. “We believe in doing small things with great love,” said Baldeo, with Scott adding, “If it’s not done with love, it shouldn’t be done at all.” They noted that projects like this can only succeed when dedicated people come together with a shared commitment to community, connection and care. By leading with compassion, the organisation aims to help build a more supportive environment where young people and those in need can access meaningful opportunities and feel empowered to thrive.
Looking ahead, Liberty United International will continue working alongside its beneficiaries and partners to expand programmes and deliver meaningful outcomes across Grenada. Applications for individual support funded through the charity sale will be made available via the organisation’s official channels.
